“von Kings Crossing” L Litter

Anticipated Breeding: February 2012

Ella von Kings Crossing, 0056/10
VJP 69P (Pointing 11), Derby 1, Derby 1 (Nose 4h, Search 4h), Solms 1, HZP 168P (Water 11), HD-B1, Fw. V1

M: Dusty vom Holtvogt (KS Rocky von Neuarenberg)
V: KS Eiko von der Zista (Austria)

This is a very promising pairing between two very strong dogs that have been recognized for “excellent” use of nose and field/water searches.

They both make very good decisions when crossing multiple tracks and transition very smoothly between nose high/winding and nose low/tracking. Their field and water searches are very organized, intense and produce game. Both dogs cast naturally off the handler’s walking direction and return with minimal commands.

Ella and Zunder honor other dog’s points on sight or scent and both bay loudly on fresh game tracks in the field or water.

Ella was very easy and fun to train and her first live rabbit tracks where at her VJP test. She naturally and easily adapts to various hunting conditions and makes very good decisions when problem solving.

Conformation Survey: A very large female with heavy bone, nice large feminine head, very muscular build with excellent pigmentation - very nice color contrast with a thick coat. Nice flowing top and bottom lines, correct movement coming and going with excellent angulation. The dog moves smoothly and effortlessly with a very confident ring presence. Correct bite and medium eyes. The overall quality of this female warrants a “V1” excellent.

Zunder vom Wittekind, 1167/06
Derby 1 (Suchensieger), Solms 1 - Nose 4h, Water 4h (Suchensieger), VGP1 ÜF - Water 4h at 17 mos., VBR sil, HN, HD-A2, Fw. V1

M: Tilla vom Wittekind (Quent vom Wittekind)
V: KS Rolf Birkenwald (KS Ilex vom Pöttsiepen)

Zunder is from the last litter representing the work and passion by the “vom Wittekind” kennel in Germany. The Wittekind dogs represent the old German hunting philosophy where a dog can boar hunt one day, duck hunt another, work birds and sleep by the sofa quietly. Udo only bred one litter a year for 26 years, and there always was a waiting list of eager hunters.

Zunder pups have tons of naturally ability and have completed their Derby/VJP at 5 mos old and completed their American upper level hunt tests at 15 months old.

Zunder completed all of his training in Germany as a very young dog in the “first field.” This means he completed all required training in several months and was recognized as the top dog at his examinations.

Derby 1 (all 4s), Solms 1 4h water (outstanding), VGP 1, NAKP 1 4h water (outstanding), HN, HD-Free A1(excellent),  Fw:2 x V, NAKP V4

Carmen is a very nice 24 inch female with bigger bone and very nice conformation. (She was the V4 female at the NAKP 2010 out of 17 females.) She stands at about 62cm and weighs 65lbs with a very calm temperament. As a daughter of KS Akazie vom Ahrenfeld and Goran Di Dual Status, Carmen possesses the same strong passion to please with super abilities as her mother Akazie. Carmen has a very good nose and very strong water desire. Twice she received 4hs for excellence in search for a duck, once in her Solms test in 2008 and again in her NAKP test in 2010. By tracking in water and producing the duck for over 150 meters in heavy marsh water and bringing them to the gun, she shows strong passion to find game in the field and strong pointing abilities. She hunts with a very high head and handles the game with a soft mouth. She is a dream to hunt with; she is very good with young kids and other dogs. Carmen is a heavily line bred Hege-Haus female.

Keck vom Helmegrund (Jaloux vom Schlossgraben x Holly vom Schlossgraben)

Derby1, Solms 1, VGP1 310pts, HN, Fw: V at Kleemann 2004

Keck is the product of an old 1991 (X) litter from Hege Haus and the latest 2000 (X) litter from Hege Haus. He is a medium size male (25.5 inches) with a very good temperament, and very dark pigment and eyes. He is a very strong, smart hunter and strong water dog with a tremendous amount of natural ability. Keck passed the utility master (VGP) test at the age of 15 months which shows his outstanding talent. (Only a few dogs are capable of passing the VGP at this age.) He is the producer of several nice litters in which many of the pups received 4hs for excellence in nose, search and pointing in Derby and Solms tests. Keck is very good with young kids and other dogs, and in the house where he lives with his family.

This is a performance breeding between two dogs that compliment each other’s abilities and conformation, bringing an excellent balance to the breeding. This breeding is going to produce very nice bone hunting dogs with an outstanding desire to hunt for you whether bird hunting in the field, duck hunting in the water, or recovering lost deer after your (bad) shot in the woods. These pups will find, point, and retrieve game, but also be calm dogs in testing or training or around the house.

The puppies will be placed in good hunting/testing homes. We would like to see our pups do what they're bred for–hunt.
